British Airways will offer no-cost high-speed in-flight internet by way of space-based deal

Flyers on British Airways will soon access high-speed connectivity in the air without charge after a major partnership with Elon Musk's satellite company.

The airline stated that the no-cost, “reliable and lightning-fast” wifi offering via the satellite provider will be accessible for customers flying coach, business, or first class as of soon.

Expanded Deployment Across Various Carriers

The holding firm of British Airways, International Airlines Group, announced it had finalized an partnership with SpaceX for providing wifi services across over 500 jets within the group's operators, which also include Aer Lingus, Iberia, plus Vueling.

British Airways noted that the introduction of this service was part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” program and would provide lag-free internet service for flyers from the gate through landing, including when traveling over seas and remote regions.
