Paramount Skydance Will Remove Around 2,000 US Jobs – Update

Paramount Skydance plans to start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles as part of a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further global layoffs are expected, as the firm intending to disclose complete information in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Prior news suggested the firm was looking to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.

Until December 2024, Paramount retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond regarding the report.
